- Due to the fictional North Carolina raid by the Spanish Inquisition, Story Arc 1 was recorded out of region. However, the rest were recorded terrestrially in North Carolina.
- Episodes 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 and 10 only aired in Latin America.
- This was originally going to have outsourced animation, but it was decided that it would be animated domestically.
- The intro starting with this season will have its own theme song, and will also use CGI animation with Blender, making this the first project from Thirstopia, Inc. to use CGI animation. Other shows that use 3D models don't necessarily use CGI, but mostly Flash animation.
- The intro for the Latin America-exclusive episodes, however, uses clips from Season 8, and the music "The Elephant Never Forgets" by Jean-Jacques Perrey, also used as the theme for the Mexican sitcom, El Chavo del Ocho.
- Episodes 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 and 10 have text in Spanish, but most of the dialogue is in English, with Spanish subtitles.
- "6-Draw" was originally produced as episode 9, but it was pushed to 12 to coincide with the series' 300th episode celebration.
- This is the first season credited to Thirstopia, Inc. instead of the Northern California Child Protection Association, like Season 8 was.
- Season 9 introduces Stacy, a female fictional character. Also, season 9 was heavily scripted, whereas seasons 1-8 were improvised.
- Season 9 has 2 story arcs. Story Arc 1 is Escape to Manhattan Beach and Story Arc 2 is Attack of the Moral Guardians. These story arcs will air in Canada while the main series airs in Spain.
- Season 9 has 26 species change-based episodes and 10 episodes based on other things (13, 14, 17-21, 30, 33, 36).
